Enhancements: To facilitate lateral stability design, an automated feature for minimum pile tip embedment has been added to the "Lateral Stability" page. This feature streamlines the process of generating and analyzing models over a given range of candidate embedment lengths. Models are automatically analyzed in bulk, and post-processed results can be viewed from the Design Tables.

Program »
Enhancements: Two tip (q-z) models have been added to the program: Driven Piles in Sand, Driven Piles in Clay.
Program »
Enhancements: An option to couple skin resistance (t-z) and soil rotational resistance has been added. This feature is intended for use in modeling large-diameter drilled shafts.

Enhancements: For models analyzed on servers, the engineer is now presented with a warning message and instructions for reducing the likelihood of disruption during analysis.
Program »
Enhancements: For models making use of battered piles, auto-detection of the need for defining and applying additional soil sets can now be toggled by the engineer. In the event that this auto-detection feature is disabled, a warning message will be printed to the Analysis Log file.
Program »
Enhancements: For bridge models, a special pre-analysis can now be conducted to generate uniform bearing reactions due to span self-weight.
Program »
Enhancements: The number of nodes that can be assigned to each pile is increased from 100 to 200.
Program »
Enhancements: The program can now continue beyond intermediate load cases (or load combinations) that do not exhibit convergence for static analyses (including AASHTO models). Any intermediate load cases (or load combinations) that do not converge are listed in the Analysis Log. Further, the engineer is notified prior to exiting the Analysis window, and for anytime any of the results windows are entered.
Program »
Enhancements: For models making use of custom pressure versus Zp-displacement curves, the engineer can now specify a custom value of pile cap ultimate bearing pressure (Qu).
Program »
Enhancements: For models making use of custom p-y curves, the engineer can now specify a custom value of Pu.
Program »
Enhancements: The number of points used for printing all program-generated soil resistance curves has been increased to 40.
Program »
Enhancements: Program-generated AASHTO load factors have been updated to match the AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications, 8th Ed.
Engine »
Enhancements: In carrying out the Method of Georgiadis for soil-layer thickness equivalencing, the number of layer subdivisions was increased from 20 to 50.
Engine »
Enhancements: To faciltiate visual (UI) results viewing in association with the minimum pile tip embedment feature, a new post-processing file (.PEL) is printed.
Engine »
Enhancements: For prints of p-y, t-z, t-theta, and q-z curves, the precision level has been increased to 6 decimal places.
Engine »
Enhancements: For models that make use of the pile cap bearing feature, prints of computed bearing pressures have been added to the text output file.
Engine »
Enhancements: The program-generated stress-strain curves for prestressed strands has been updated to allow for more realistic extrapolation in the event that strains of magnitudes greater than 0.03 arise.
Engine »
Enhancements: To facilitate visual (UI) results viewing in association with intermediate load cases (or combinations) of static analyses that do not converge, a new post-processing file (.NCV) is printed.
Engine »
Enhancements: Increased distinction of text output file header prints for single pile models.
Engine »
Enhancements: To facilitate UI processing of staged analysis data related to uniform bearing reactions due to span self-weight, a new post-processing file (.BPF) is printed.
Engine »
Enhancements: Added summary prints of pile strains and corresponding stresses for static analyses (including AASHTO models).
Engine »
Enhancements: Added summary prints of frame element strains and corresponding stresses (e.g., pier columns, pier caps, extra members) for static analyses (including AASHTO models).
Engine »
Enhancements: Added prints (per load case/combination) of frame element strains and corresponding stresses (e.g., pier columns, pier caps, extra members).
Engine »
Enhancements: The Analysis Log now indicates the type of analysis being conducted. For example, for AASHTO models, the Analysis Log indicates: "AASHTO ANALYSIS COMPLETE".
